Necklace with Lapislazuli and a Goldpendant
This elegant necklace is composed of small, polished lapis lazuli beads (4 mm in diameter), complemented by twelve faceted gold beads from Gujarat (5 mm in diameter).
At its center rests an antique, boat-shaped gold pendant from Gujarat. Its original symbolism represents a bull’s head—Nandi, the sacred companion of Lord Shiva. The pendant is hollow and has been reinforced with shellac, a traditional technique that enhances both its stability and durability.
The piece is finished with a contemporary hook clasp crafted from sterling silver and plated in 24-carat gold.
