Small Embroidery from Kutch, Gujarat, India
A traditional embroidered textile from Kutch, Gujarat, India, rendered in the Moji style.
Silk embroidery on a silk ground, embellished with small mirror insets (shisha work).
Most likely originally part of a door hanging (toran).
Highly decorative and well preserved, with the loss of only seven small mirrors.
Estimated to be 80–100 years old.
