These kelims were lying on the floor, food was served on them.

Often there were four pieces:

A long middle kelim ( mijan farsch), on each long side a narrow piece (kenareh) of the same length, but narrower.

In front the mainkelim (kalleghi), which length equaled the width of the three other pieces together
